Best of the best: Ten best Illinois cities for unemployment in Dec.

The December 2013 unemployment figures are out and we’ve got the ten best cities in Illinois. Eleven cities made the list because of a tie and all eleven are under six percent unemployment, much lower than the 8.6 percent rate of the state.

North shore neighbors Glenview and Northbrook come in the top two slots. There’s a common theme among the cities on the list: All are suburbs to the west, northwest or north of Chicago.
