Unions respond to Madigan rebuke on summit

On Wednesday, Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan turned down a request from a coalition of Illinois public employee unions for a summit meeting to discuss pension reform with him, Gov. Pat Quinn and the three other legislative leaders. The stern tone of his response made headlines across the state. Madigan’s letter is posted here.
