Recent college graduates encountered one of the best job markets the U.S. has seen in years. According to the 2016 National Association of Colleges and Employers report, the expected hiring rate for the class of 2016 was 5.2 percent higher than that of the class of 2015. And CNBC reports the Bureau of Labor Statistics found unemployment decreased for those with a bachelor’s degree and higher.

It turns out, there are many opportunities to thrive in Illinois’ job market, according to the career website Zippia.
